What happened to Blind Camp 2020? In April 2020 MVSC closed its doors for the second time. It was a disappointing decision to make. We at MVSC know how important camp is for the blind. However, with COVID catching all of us off guard we had to close. Social distancing, hygiene practices and food handling guideline prevented MVSC hosting camp. In 2021 if the BC Heath Department allows MVSC to have camp under approved guidelines blind campers will once again enjoy the outdoors.
Be watching here on the website for updates. Pray that the camp will be open to a great week for our blind friends.
Spread the word about the possibility of blind camp for 2021.
Blind Camp at MVSC began in 1976 with a commitment to serve the visually impaired in a camp setting. Our goal is to provide a safe, fun filled experience in the outdoors.
Our staff are trained to care for the visually impaired. We take our responsibility to help the visually impaired enjoy camp to the fullest. Campers will experience horseback riding, tubing, hay rides, horse shoes, basketball, checkers, archery and more.
Blind Camp is for all ages. Download the following forms or contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for applications. You might also phone 778-769-5890
